Mosavirus A
Mosavirus B
Mosavirus A is a species in the genus Mosavirus. Mosavirus stands for mouse stool-associated picornavirus.

A novel picornavirus (designation M-7) found in the faeces of a canyon mouse (Peromyscus crinitus) in the USA in 2010 (JF973687; Phan et al., 2011).

A second mosavirus has been found in the faeces of an Afro-Palearctic migrant bird, the European roller (Coracias garrulus) (KF958461; Reuter et al., 2014).

Mosaviruses appear to encode two VPg's:

MoV-A1
GPYCGTCRQKKPVLKKAVTE (VPg1)

GPYTGIVKKAPKKLKKVVTQ (VPg2)

MoV-A2
GPYCGACKRKAPVLKKTVAE (VPg1)

GPYSGMPRATPKKLKKVVVQ (VPg2)
