Gallivirus A
Chicken gallivirus 1
Gallivirus A is a species in the genus Gallivirus. Partial genome sequences of these picornaviruses have been detected in chickens and turkeys (Farkas et al., 2012). These virus appear to be most closely related to, but distinct from, passerivirus A1 (formerly called turdivirus 1). The complete genome of a turkey gallivirus from Hungary has recently been described (Boros et al., 2012).
