Shanbavirus A is a new species in the
genus Shanbavirus.
The partial sequence of Rhinolophus affinis picornavirus 1 was found in
the
Intermediate Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus affinis) (Wu et al.,
2012). The complete (or almost complete) genome sequence of a
related virus, Miniopterus fuliginosus picornavirus 1 (MfPV-1),
has been found in an Eastern bent-wing bat (Miniopterus fuliginosus)
(Wu et al., unpub.).
