  Poecivirus A is a species within the genus Poecivirus.

Poecivirus is a novel picornavirus of birds that is most closely related to megriviruses (Zylberberg et al., 2016). The authors suggest that this virus may be the cause of avian keratin disorder (Zylberberg et al., 2016, 2018).
