Within the genus Cosavirus,
there are five species,
Cosavirus A, Cosavirus B, Cosavirus D,
Cosavirus E and
Cosavirus F (Kapoor et al., 2008; Holtz et al.,
2008; Kapusinszky et al., 2012). The candidate species, 'Cosavirus C', has not been fully sequenced and
is defined as distinct based on 2C and 3CD analyses alone (Kapoor
et al., 2008).
