  The genus Hepatovirus consists of nine species, Hepatovirus A (formerly named Hepatitis A virus), Hepatovirus B, Hepatovirus C, Hepatovirus D, Hepatovirus E, Hepatovirus F, Hepatovirus G, Hepatovirus H and Hepatovirus I. A previous tentative member of the genus, avian encephalomyelitis virus, has been assigned to a new genus, Tremovirus.
