A picorna-like virus of the Boa constrictor is mentioned by Essbauer and Ahne (2001).

Heldstab and Bestetti (1984) mention a picorna-like of the Aesculapian snake (Elaphe longissima).

The genome sequence of Virus "X", a tortoise picornavirus, has recently been reported (Heuser et al., 2010).
