Virus common name: Equine rhinitis A virus
Equine rhinitis A virus, is
a species within the genus Aphthovirus containing a single
serotype, equine rhinitis A virus 1 (ERAV-1). This virus was formerly
known as equine rhinovirus 1.
Equine rhinovirus 2 and equine rhinovirus
3 are now classified in the genus
Erbovirus as equine rhinitis B virus (ERBV) types 1 and 2,
respectively.
