Two enteroviruses isolated from brushtail
possums (Trichosurus vulpecula) in New Zealand (Zheng,
2007) belong to the species Enterovirus F. They are distinct from five other proposed
genetically-defined types within the group and are currently
referred to as BEV-B4. It is proposed to call this virus type enterovirus F4 (EV-F4).
